UFC 118 had some good fights but some were boring. The boxing versus MMA fight with Randy Couture v James Toney was sort of a sideshow event. It was a non event as Couture put the way past his prime boxer on his back and made him tap out in the 1st round. No surprise to anyone I imagine.
Toney looked out of shape, which he has for a while now, and showed no mma skills. But I give him credit for even taking the fight. Fighting a legend like Couture was pretty dumb but he did get in a cage with the guy.
Anyone who wants to compare mma and boxing is wasting their time. They are 2 very different sports. When one athlete crosses over to the other he is likely going to lose unless he trains for a few years in the sport that is new to him.
