Historical Scheduling Oddity

The 2012 season has six home games.

In the past fifty years the scenario with six home games has happened on four other occasions.  Because of the schedule quirks that sometimes arise, Commerce has six home games one year and four another season back to back.

Seasons with Six home games in a regular season:

1963, 1967, 1974, 1979

Seasons with Four home games in a regular season:

1962, 1966, 1975, 1978

In an 18 year period of time from 1962-1980, this quirk in scheduling happened on eight occasions.

This scheduling problem is unusual, but it has happened in the past.
