Commerce Says Goodbye To Chip

The Tiger community lost a good man this past weekend. Former Tiger player & assistant coach Chip McClure was laid to rest today. Chip was an All-State Linebacker in the 80′s and played college football at West Georgia.

Chip was a great athlete and an even better person. The number of lives that were positively affected by him was evident at the funeral. He was one of the friendliest people I have ever met and I think that was just his nature. He was a REAL person that didn’t have to try to be any certain way. He was just himself.

It’s a shame Chip had to go so soon. He will be missed by a great number of people around here, myself included.
