If you want to make a lot of money fast in the NFL then running back is the job. You can start as a rookie and be a factor in you team’s success. Just make plans to find another gig around your 30th birthday. Here’s a sideshow of some great tailbacks that went downhill fast. I think Jim Brown had the right idea about getting out young.
I have no idea what kind of guy LaDanian Tomilsom is in real life. For all I know he is Tiger Woods and Brett Farve rolled into one. But from all appearences he is a stand up player and person. He played hard every down and did not embarrass himself or his team. He did all that was asked of him.
That being said, he is not the same player he used to be. So I can see why the Chargers cut him loose. I just want people who complain about players changing teams to chase more money to see it works both ways. Once a player has outlived his usefulness he will be put on the curb like an old tube tv and replaced by a shiny 60 inch LED HD TV. So I have no problem with a player who has outperformed his contract trying to get more money. It is all about value.
I saw a number for the people who watched the Super Bowl and I think it was around 109 million. What are the other people in the USA ( outside the USA I know it is not the big thing) watching at that time? I can’t imagine.
Can’t teach an old dog new tricks I guess. Farve just couldn’t resist. Of course his team of butterfingers did not help with all the fumbles. The game should have never even been close really.
