After a first half that saw the score the same as this morning, 0-0, the offenses did their thing in the second half. Jefferson was up by 11 at one point but Commerce did not lay down. They converted a late 2 point play then stopped Jefferson on a 3 and out.
That set up a possible game winning drive or at least a FG to tie. The Tigers had to start on their 4 yard line after a penalty but managed to move within FG range with a few seconds left in the game. To the disgust of Tiger fan, the kick was blocked and the Dragon Seniors escaped without ever losing to Commerce…. 4 in a row for Jefferson. 17-14 the final.
